Looking for a pair of speakers for your notebook? Let’s face the fact that most notebooks do not come with a decent audio solution, which is why there is always a market for items like the $149.99 UCube Digital USB Speakers. Measuring a mere 3.25″ square, the UCube is an ultra portable computer peripheral, and chances are you would not probably notice it take up much space on your desk. Not only that, they are definitely lookers and will not end up as a sore thumb on your work desk. Since these speakers will connect to your computer via USB, there is no need to lug around another power supply on your travels.

Not only that, the speakers are completely detachable from the hefty aluminum stands, allowing you to minimize the footprint. The UCube is able to coax out a maximum of 15 watts per channel, and with Balance Mode Radiator (BMR for short), it is said to be able to deliver a full frequency range with a wide dispersion pattern that would certainly be more than welcome for your ears to listen to.

My husband and I both have our motorcycle licenses, and it was my dad that taught me to ride, and while it makes me a little more nervous than it used to, I still love the idea of a bike… the wind in your hair and the bugs in your teeth. But if we all go out together, its just so hard to communicate – even with some of the better helmet systems out there.

That is until now, let me introduce you to Cardo scala rider G9, Cardo Systems Inc (a Pittsburgh PA company) specializes in the design and development of state of the art communication and entertainment systems for motorcycle helmets and the G9 is no exception. Featuring unparalleled intercom connectivity and wireless access to mobile phones, GPS and MP3 music, this super slim, compact headset installs in minutes and lets you talk to up to 8 fellow riders almost a mile away.

But that’s not the best part, the G9 also allows spontaneous connections to other scala riders using the G9 or the G4, so waving becomes a thing of the past as this system lets you reach out and actually say hi! Other unique functions include “Flash Pairing” where users establish connections by bumping two of the G9′s together or Hot Dial calling  or “Group Signal” that lets a rider initiate alerts to other members of his crew and they even have a Cardo Community, Heck! Its like social networking on wheels.

So make calls, get GPS directions, plan meet-ups, or just listen to the built in FM radio, the G9 will help you do it all. The G9 provides about 12 hours of talk time and 7 days of standby. It can be charged in 3 hours and is compatible (within limits) with the entire scala line. For more info please visit Cardosystems.com

I probably shouldn’t admit that I have a rather large collection of records. As I write this my daughter wants to know what they were, and if that was how we listened to music before we had electricity. Bless her little heart – no candy for her today. Anyway, the point of the story was, I no longer have a record player and I don’t have the overwhelming desire to buy one either, but I would like to hear a couple of those old tunes.

So check out Soundwagon, it just doesn’t get any neater than this. This officially licensed Volkswagen Van record player can be carried in your pocket. The Soundwagon has a player needle that is powered simply by a 9 volt battery, you just place your little VW on top of any 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record and let her go for a spin. The unit has been recently redesigned with an improved speaker and features much better sound quality than their original roll out.

The Soundwagons are made in Japan, are available worldwide, and come in blue, black, gray, white, magenta and cherry red for just under 100 bucks. Visit Soundwagon.jp  for an instructional video or for ordering information and don’t forget to bring it with you next time you want to check out some records at your local retirement community yard sale. Geez.

I admit it, I have a Nikon DSLR and a Sony Cybershot, but somehow I end up taking more pictures on my iPhone. I guess it makes sense since is always available, easy to remember, and takes a pretty good shot, for a phone. But inevitably I will miss quite a few of those perfect pictures, If only I could have been just a little closer… I always walk away kicking myself for not having at least grabbed the Cybershot.

So who could blame me for being intrigued by the iPhone Lens Dial? Not only does this complete 3 lens optical system, made specifically for your iPhone, look cool, but it boasts fisheye, wide angle, and telephoto lens capabilities. The lenses are optical quality coated glass set into an aircraft grade aluminum case with both portrait and landscape tripod mounts.

While the iPhone lens Dial isn’t going to take the place of your DSLR (or your point and shoot for that matter), getting even just a bit closer to your subjects and a few special effects will make iPhone picture taking a whole lot more fun and creative. Simply turn the dial to what you need and it will lock in place, and you can start snapping.

You should be aware that the telephoto lens only provides a 1.5x optical zoom over the unenhanced iPhone lens and it is a bit expensive costing around $249.99. The case, which weighs in at about 10 ounces will also be adding a little bulk to your phone, but better to have and not need, then to need and not have.

Gamers are extremely particular when it comes to the kind of peripherals they use, and more often than not, they would want to find any means possible to gain an advantage over their opponents, chiefly looking into the kind of hardware that they use first. After all, skill tends to play second fiddle among newbies, as they would prefer to brag about the kind of equipment that they have. Of course, when you move up the food chain, you would come up with different ways of playing a particular map or employing various strategies, and hardware, while important, is a secondary factor to consider.

For folks who are on the lookout for another piece of gaming hardware – a gaming mouse in particular, have yet a different option to consider, although it does not hail from the hallowed halls of Razer and Logitech this time around. Genius, a lesser known manufacturer, is putting up their Genius Maurus Professional Gaming Mouse for all and sundry to give it a go. Just what kind of hardware does it pack? Let us take a closer look at it in the extended post.

For starters, the Genius Maurus Professional Gaming Mouse will target FPS and RTS gamers, others such as Minesweeping office drones and MMORPG gamers can give this a pass. There are 5 programmable buttons in total, not to mention on-board memory that enables you to store your settings so that you need not reconfigure the game controls itself each time you plug your mouse into a new computer.

Not only that, there are four DPI settings to choose from – 450/900/1800/3500, and with a built-in 20 grams of weight, it allows you to play around with the “feel” of the mouse, as some games might require you to move your mouse faster without having to worry about accuracy, while weight adds stability to your hand’s movement for those precise moments. To make things a whole lot cooler, Genius has also thrown in a lighting system that illuminates the scroll wheel and logo.

The Genius Maurus Professional Gaming Mouse will come with a rubber coating finish for non-slip grip, retailing for $49.99 a pop.

When Tiger Woods was working on a new swing, it did affect his game somewhat, but when he managed to master it, he zoomed in on most of the titles that were there for the taking, and this was before the entire personal life of his came crumbling down. Still, it goes to show just how important tweaking your swing is, and many golfers out there constantly find different methods and equipment in order to help them achieve what is known as the “perfect swing”, if there is such a thing in the first place anyways.

Well, Perception Digital Limited has introduced a device which could eventually help you get the swing you have always wanted with the 3BaysGSA. Just what is the 3BaysGSA? It comes in a tiny form factor which is definitely a boon, considering the amount of equipment that you already need to lug around on the green. This small and handy companion for golfers will be attached to one end of your golf club, where it will get to work with each swing you make, collecting over 10,000 data points for each swing.

An on-board computer will definitely be there to crunch such data, and when it has arrived at the conclusion, it will transfer all that data over to your mobile device, letting you review your swing in an animated manner. Apart from that, the adage of having two heads being better than one is applied here, since the collected and analyzed information will be sent to remote coaches for online coaching.

According to Dr. Jack Lau, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Perception Digital, “Golf playing can be frustrating for someone who does not swing well. But it can be really rewarding if the right technique is applied. Golf professionals who have tested and tried the 3BaysGSA comment that it is a great tool. What it can perform was simply not possible in the past due to the costs involved.”

What do you think of this device? Golf widows might want to look into it as a possible gift for their husbands during their upcoming birthday, he will definitely love you all the more!

Kids love playing, but most of the time these days, the kind of games that they play are of the video variety. It is about time you helped them get out of the house and lose that pasty complexion, where running around in the park and rolling in grass should be made as a mandatory childhood experience – not to mention climbing trees and having hours of fun in a treehouse. Well, apart from playing, I have yet to find a normal child who loves colors – the more, the merrier. This is where Griffin and Crayola’s partnership looks set to bear plenty of fruit – in the form of the Crayola MyPhones, Color Clickers and Crayon Classics, where we shall take a closer look at all three right after the jump.

First of all, there is the Crayola MyPhones which is a pair of fully adjustable, volume-limiting earbuds and headphones which are – but of course, kid-sized. After all, it is the growing trend these days that kids are exposed to ever increasing levels of sound. Take a gander at our commercials on the TV – a normal show sounds just fine until it is time for some ads to run, where the audio level increases noticeably, sometimes causing a shock as well to the entire household. With the $24.99 Crayola MyPhones, you need not worry about your little one losing his or her hearing so soon, thanks to an integrated sound-control circuit which caps peak volume levels at 85 decibels or lower.

As for the $14.99 MyPhones Earbuds, these will carry Crayola’s iconic crayon wrapper design, sporting individual carrying cases for that personal touch, while coming in a shape of a Crayola crayon. It will open up to feature 3 sizes of soft silicone ear cushions, where there ought to be one just for every and any kid in the household. You can choose from Crayola colors such as purple pizzazz, cotton candy (pink), caribbean green, and blue berry.

Last but not least, you can offer a different method to protect your iPod touch, thanks to the existence of Color Clickers and Crayon Classics. Crayola Color Clickers will merge a protective polycarbonate shell with 28 interchangeable color stripes, offering young iPod users the option of coming up with their very own color combinations throughout the week, making them feel that they have a spanking new iPod each time. Color Clickers will come in green and yellow alongside coordinating color stripes.
